Affiliated Organisations
Association of College and University Housing Officers -International (ACUHO-I)
ACUHO-I members believe in developing exceptional residential experiences at colleges, universities, and other post-secondary institutions around the world. CUBO has been affiliated with ACUHO-I for a few years; the latest version of the affiliation agreement is available as a pdf file by clicking here. Next year's annual conference is in Anaheim, California from July 7-10, 2012

Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS)
The Department's aim is to create highly-skilled workforce, (it also promotes business, innovation & free and open markets)
Department for Employment and Learning, Northern Ireland
To promote learning and skills, to prepare people for work and to support the economy. Funds Northern Ireland HEIs
The Higher Education Funding Council (HEFCE)
The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) distributes public money for teaching and research to universities and colleges
Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW)
HEFCW is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government to distribute funding for higher education in Wales
Scottish Funding Council (SFC)
Funds teaching and learning provision, research and other activities in Scotland's colleges, universities and higher education institutions

UUK is the representative organisation for the UK’s universities
Higher Education Wales (HEW)
HEW represents the interests of HEIs in Wales and is a National Council of Universities UK
Universities Scotland
Universities Scotland exists to represent and promote Scotland's higher education sector and campaign on its behalf

Academic Registrars' Council (ARC)
National forum of senior managers responsible for the academic administration of student matters in publicly funded Universities and Colleges of Higher Education within the United Kingdom

UK Student Services Organisation
Association for Managers in Students' Unions (AMSU)
Support all students' union staff who manage any aspect of students' unions services or activities
Association for Student Residential Accommodation (ASRA)
Promote and support the professional activities of individuals working in student accommodation
Association of Heads of University Administration (AHUA)
Representative body for senior University managers (typically Registrars, Chief Operating Officers, Heads of Administration) in the United Kingdom and Ireland
Association of University Administrators (AUA)
Promoting excellence in higher education management
Association of University Chief Security Officers (AUCSO)
Provides a forum for its members to exchange knowledge and to keep up to date with crime trends, legislation and other information related to security services
Association of University Directors of Estate (AUDE)
AUDE promotes excellence in the strategic planning, management, operation and development of Higher Education estates and facilities
Association of University Engineers (AUE)
To promote, foster and develop the knowledge and skills of University Engineers
Association of University Procurement Officers (AUPO)
In May 2011 the Association of University Procurement Officers (AUPO) merged with The British Universities Finance Directors Group (BUFDG). AUPO are now a BUFDG executive group and have taken on the running of the BUFDG procurement working groups, which meet four times a year
British Association of Cleaning in Higher Education (BACHE)
Forum for cleaning professionals within the Further and Higher Education sector
British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS)
The national governing body for higher education sport in the UK. Its vision is to enhance the student experience in the areas of performance, competition and participation

Representative body for finance office staff in the higher education sector in the United Kingdom
Higher Education Business Continuity Network (HEBCoN)
Network of HEIs committed to the promotion of business continuity planning in the sector
Higher Education Estates Association Forum (HEEAF)
Forum consists of organisations with a remit associated with Estates and Facilities Management in higher education. These are AUCSO, AUDE, AUE, AUPO, ASRA, BACHE, CUBO, EAUC, HEBCoN, SCHOMS, USHA
Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI)
Independent think tank devoted exclusively to higher education
Higher Education Senior Managers Forum (HESMF)
(Quote from AUDE) Established as a means for the main representative professional groups in the sector to collaborate effectively in areas where there are issues of shared interest. Consists of AHUA, ARC, AUA, AUDE, BUFDG and UHR
National Union of Students (NUS)

Accredits mainly private residential accommodation although there are some University members. Administered by UNIPOL

Unipol Student Homes is a charity working nationally to improve training, standards and professionalism in student housing. The training division of Unipol. holds conferences and short courses designed for those involved in housing and the education sector
