CUBO FINANCE GROUP
The CUBO Finance Group continues to go from strength to strength since its re-launch in 2009. Over the past year we have covered a number of topics such as Higher Education funding, EPOS and contactless payment in HE, online stores, joint ventures, SPVs, the benefits of shared services, purchasing consortia, CUBO links to and work being done with bodies such as ASRA, TUCO, SNUPI and the HEFCE value for money study along with many more. A seminar was also held last September on the national minimum wage, a current hot topic, and this gave us plenty of food for thought.
The sessions, which were composed of financial representatives from Universities across the whole of the UK, were consistently well attended thus allowing us to tap into a wealth of knowledge and experience, which must be why our members rate us so highly. The conferences, which have been described by many as ‘inspirational’, ‘informative’ and ‘very interesting’, offer an excellent opportunity to network with and listen to representatives from a number of professional associations.
