CUBO organises two annual events; the Summer and Winter conferences as well as other one off events.
These conferences provide excellent opportunities to network with colleagues, undertaking similar roles, at other institutions with the Summer Conference also well attended by suppliers from within the sector.
Framing the Future of Training and Development: 1 February 2012
Proposals regarding changes to University Hospitality Seminars (UHS) were agreed by the CUBO Winter Conference. The proposal included UHS continuing to offer a key range of seminars and services for the sector with Pat McGrath and David McKown at The University of Sheffield becoming the new directors.
A one-day workshop has been set up 'Framing the Future of Training and Development' for colleagues within CUBO members' organisations who are either solely dedicated to the training function or are an operational manager with a responsibility and interest in training and development. Full detail of the workshop is available by clicking here.
This event is free to attend and will be of interest to colleagues who have a responsibility for training. It will be held at 10.00am on Wednesday, 1 February at The University of Sheffield. The booking form can by clicking here.
Summer Conference 2012
The 2012 Summer Conference will be held at the John McIntyre Conference Centre at the University of Edinburgh, starting on midday on Wednesday 20th June 2012 and finishing at lunch on Friday 22nd June 2012. It had originally been expected to hold the 2012 event at Oxford on 3rd to 6th July but for a number of reasons, not least the lack of exhibition space and sufficient local accommodation, it was decided to move the event to Edinburgh.
