January 2012
Following on from the proposals agreed by the CUBO Winter Conference Pat McGrath and David McKown at the University of Sheffield will become the new directors of University Hospitality Seminars (UHS). A one-day workshop has been set up 'Framing the Future of Training and Development' for colleagues within CUBO members' organisations who are either solely dedicated to the training function or are an operational manager with a responsibility and interest in training and development.
DECEMBER 2011
14th December - The first ever awards promoted by CUBO, the Uliving CUBO Awards for 2012 are announced. These will be presented at the CUBO 2012 Conference dinner on 20th July 2012 at the University of Edinburgh and more details, including how to apply are available on the awards page.

A sustainability video, produced in conjunction with Campuslife shows how students can help lower the carbon emissions of our residences and campuses. The film features real students as presenters and gives clear, easy to follow and relatable advice on how students can do their part to help us create more sustainable campuses across the sector. 14th August - Updated Membership List Published, available in the member's area on the membership list page.
The 2012 Summer Conference will be held at the John McIntyre Conference Centre at the University of Edinburgh, starting on midday on Wednesday 20th June 2012 and finishing at lunch on Friday 22nd June 2012. It had originally been expected to hold the 2012 event at Oxford but for a number of reasons, not least the lack of exhibition space and sufficient local accommodation, it was decided to move the event to Edinburgh.
The 2011 Winter Conference will be held in Leeds at Weetwood Hall on Friday 25th November 2011; accommodation and dinner will be available on the night of 24th November. For full details and the programme click here.
